Arrival in Guwahati |

The trip begins with your arrival at Guwahati Airport /
Khanapara Pickup point.
● Now, get transferred to Kaziranga National Park.
● Check into the hotel/homestay.
● Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing, in preparation for the fun
and adventurous journey that lies ahead.
● Overnight stay in a hotel at Kaziranga.

Early morning, head out to enjoy a jeep safari Arranged
by Thrillophilia in the Kaziranga national park.
● Kaziranga National Park is home to many species of
animals & birds including the One-horned rhino.
● Return to the hotel for your breakfast.
● Post breakfast start the journey toward Shillong Scotland
of the east.
● You will come across the Umiam Lake (Borapani) while
traveling from Kaziranga to Shillong, capturing the
mesmerizing beauty it has to offer we shall move
forward.
● Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel at
Shillong.
Day 3 |
Sightseeing Tour in Shillong |

After breakfast, head out to explore Shillong, also known
as the Scotland of East.
● Start off by visiting the Laitlum Canyon, which is located
23 km south of Shillong.
● Take some postcard-perfect pictures at the Laitlum
Canyon where the Bollywood movie “Rock On 2” was
shot.
● After spending some time at the Canyon, return back to
Shillong.
● In Shillong, visit the Don Bosco Museum to get a glimpse
of the rich and multicultural lifestyles of the indigenous
tribes of North East India.
● Later, visit the Cathedral Church, known for its stunning
stained glass installations and tall arches.
● In the evening at the Wards Lake - a horse-shoe-shaped
lake surrounded by a beautiful garden constructed 100
years ago.
● Spend the rest of the time at the Police Bazaar filled
with colorful shops and street food joints.
● Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 4 |
Mawphlang Excursion |

Post breakfast in the morning, board your transfers to
Mawphlang.
● In Mawphlang, reach the Sacred Forest Area to explore
this protected area under sanctions.
● Located in the East Khasi and Jaintia hills, this
Mawphlang Sacred Grove is protected by the local deity
and preserved by the Khasi Tribe.
● This Sacred Grove is guarded by one strict rule –
‘NOTHING is allowed to be taken out of this Sacred
Grove. Not even a leaf, stone, or a dead log’ & failing to
comply may lead to a bad omen.
● This groove is known to be the home of many amazing
plants, flowering trees, orchids, butterflies, and many
other types of Flora and Fauna.
● After admiring the amazing nature, head back to
Shillong.
● Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 5 |
Shillong to Cherrapunjee |

● Post breakfast at the hotel, and get ready to explore the
natural wonders of Meghalaya.
● As you board your transfer to Cherrapunjee, take your first
stop at Elephant Falls.
● Further, visit the breathtaking Mawkdok Dympep
ViewPoint which offers wonderful views of the V-shaped
valley with sloping hills carpeted with green on either side.
● After this, stop at the viewpoints of Nohkalikai falls and
Seven Sisters’ Falls to enjoy the amazing views of the
waterfalls.
● Next, spend some time exploring the Mawsmai and Arwah
caves famous for their fossils that can be viewed with the
lit-up interiors.
● After completing the day’s sightseeing, reach your hotel in
Cherrapunjee.
● Overnight stay at the hotel in Cherrapunjee.

Cherrapunjee - Nongriat Trek - Cherrapunjee |

After breakfast, proceed to Tyrna village from where you
will begin your trek.
● Start the trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat)
with the local guide through a beautiful trail of forests and
bridges.
● Upon reaching the final destination, spend some time
exploring around.
● Later on, you can also extend your hike to Rainbow Falls at
an extra cost of Rs 1500/-.
● Begin your return journey to the Tyrna village by hiking up
to 3000 steps.
● By evening, board your vehicle to Cherrapunjee.
● Overnight stay at the hotel in Cherrapunjee.
Day 7 |
Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong - Shnongpdeng/ Dawki |

After having your breakfast at the hotel, board your
transfers to Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
● Take your first stopover at Mawlynnong (110 km/ 02 1⁄2 hrs
drive) and get a chance to walk around Asia’s Cleanest
Village.
● On the outskirts of the village, witness nature’s wonder in
the form of a Balancing Rock, which remains unmoved
through years, despite the storms and cyclones.
● Later, take up to visit the Single Decker Living Root Bridge
in Riwai village.
● Post this you will reach Dawki where the ultimate
experience of boating in crystal clear waters of the Umngot
river awaits you (at your own cost).
● After enjoying your boat ride, head to your stay in
Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
● Overnight at Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
Day 8 |
Shnongpdeng/Dawki - Jowai - Shillong |

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise in East Khasi hills and have
your breakfast.
● Get ready and start your journey for Jowai to visit India's
most magical waterfall: Krang Suri Waterfalls.
● Upon reaching Krang Suri Waterfalls, spend some time
around the falls by taking a dip in the natural pool or just
enjoy some time by sitting leisurely.
● Later, move further towards Shillong.
● On the way, take a photo stop at the beautiful site of the
Laitlum Canyons where the Bollywood movie “Rock On 2”
was shot.
● After soaking in the views, head to your hotel in Shillong.
● Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Guwahati Local Sightseeing |

After having your breakfast at the hotel, head out to
explore Guwahati.
● Start off by visiting the Assam State Museum also known
as Assam Rajyik State Museum to get insights into the
rich culture of ancient history as well as the modern
history of North-East India.
● Next, visit the Assam state zoo which houses some
exotic animals like one-horned rhinoceros which is
native to the Indian subcontinent, giraffes and ostriches
from Africa, and kangaroos from Australia.
● Next, take up a 15 mins boat ride to Peacock Island to
seek the blessings of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati at the
Umananda temple.
● In the evening, you can go cruising in the Brahmaputra
River (at your own expense).
● After enjoying the beautiful cruise on one of the longest
rivers of India, head back to your hotel in Guwahati.
● Overnight stay at the hotel in Guwahati.

you end your amazing Meghalaya trip today.
● Visit Umiam lake as you leave Shillong (if it is missed on
Day 1)
● Upon reaching Guwahati, visit Kamakhya Temple, which
is one of the most revered Shaktipeeth (if time permits).
Located on the Nilachal hill, the deity of the temple,
Kamakhya Devi is revered as the 'Bleeding Goddess'.
● Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the
Airport / Khanapara Drop Point.
